Sorry I’m hopelessly late with this information. It’s hard to remember something that’s a year away when the details are not ready when I’m ready. Anyway, no excuses, I’ll do better. Here are the details copied from the NZ Vikings facebook group for future visitors.
đłđż HANGI WEEKEND â Questions & Answers
Got questions? Youâre probably not the first! đ
Hereâs a collection of the questions we get asked most often. If you canât find the answer youâre looking for, just ask in the event chat and weâll update this post.

Everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to join in.
The Hangi is usually served around 6:00 pm on Saturday.
âž»
đ€ Do I need to help out?
Definitely! đ
This isnât a festival where a few people do all the work.
The Kiwi way is that everyone mucks in. Whether itâs peeling veggies, digging the pit, washing up, setting tables, tidying up or helping wherever needed, everyone lends a hand during the weekend.
Many hands really do make light work.
âž»
đ Will I have a bed?
We still have plenty of space available in the bunk rooms.
Prefer camping? No problemâthereâs plenty of space for tents too.

â€ïž One last thingâŠ
The Hangi Weekend isnât just about the food.
Itâs about spending time together, making new friends, catching up with old ones and sharing a little slice of New Zealand in Denmark.
Bring your Kiwi spirit, your sense of humour and be ready to muck in.
